We had a good weekend. We even got out for a hike and a drive. But it was a bit too cold for our outside picnic on Saturday at only 50 degrees outside. But we did appreciate the sun.

In the evening we went to visit our long friends and supporters. It was great to catch up with them and to hear how God is working in their lives. It is wonderful to have friends like this for almost 35 years. We met Tony( the husband) when we had just gotten married and lived in New Jersey. We met Michele after they married a few years later. So they are good friends even though we don’t see each other very often.

On Sunday we went to the same church in town that Kent had met with the pastor for a visit. We were so encouraged by the church and the pastor. He preached a great message from the Word. The church seemed very missions minded. After wards we met a couple that was on the missions committee of the church. They invited us and another couple also very involved and interested in missions to go to lunch. We had a very nice time of learning about them and sharing about WorldVenture’s approach to missionary candidates and churches missions involvement. They seemed to really be encouraged by what Kent shared. We greatly enjoyed meeting them.

The Lord uses you wherever you go and you encourage so many people who want to learn more about serving our Lord. So glad you can meet up with friends and family as you go about the Lord’s business.
    Keep enjoying those hikes!
    Blessings from Rachel
