We all need some time away from our regular work to refresh ourselves. We had met a couple in a local church that invited us to go camping with them a few hours drive north out of Nampa with a few others. We were in need of some quiet time away so agreed to meet up with everyone at the campground.
We drove through some beautiful countryside. We traveled along the Payette River with many beautiful spots to stop and have our lunch. We did use one of them and then continued on our drive.
Idaho has some gorgeous scenery!
Donna and Bud invited us. They are one of the friendliest couples we have met in many years. We are blessed to call them new friends of ours.
We met others along the way. We were in all kinds of camping gear, from a tent, tent pop up trailer to a small trailer and a small motor home and our rig.

Some of those that “camped” with us.
Ralph & Martha
Jayson and Nicole
And beside us on Saturday a couple pulled in a homebuilt camper. We were fascinated to see his construction and their bed in a box! Here are some pictures of his very creative invention.
Ron and Sherre were a very friendly couple too. We do hope to see them again.
So we were a varied group. All couples and we all enjoyed playing games, eating good food and being around the campfire in the evening and lots of talking.
We had a great weekend with the group and they all left on Sunday afternoon. Kent and I had decided to stay a few extra days to rest a bit more. Good idea, and then Monday afternoon I came down with something like flu. I have been alternating sweating from fever and cold with chills and weak and achy and congestion in my chest. But I do think I am on the other side of it and will be feeling better tomorrow. I sure have slept a lot in the past few days so I am feeling rested. And we are going back to Nampa tomorrow and back to our routine.
I can still say Thank you God for some time away to refresh!

Hi Jan, Was wondering if you’d send Jayson & I the picture you took of us, Ralph & Martha and yourself and Kent? Thanks, Nicole’
