My neice Jana comes for a visit

Jana is my oldest neice and in fact is only 10 years younger than me, she is the oldest child of my oldest brother,  he is 12 years older than me. I used to babysit for her and her brother and hung out with her mom a lot.

Jan(prounoiced Jay-nah) has always had a special place in my heart. Her birth made me an aunt for the first time! She has been quite adventurous and has come to visit our family in Indiana, Kansas City, Missouri, Pennsylvania of course, and now she also has been living in an RV full time for 4-5 years and she came to visit us in Arizona and now also in Washington. We never know where the next place we will meet up. So we have been able to see her several times this summer. She even came to see our family in Birch Bay a few weeks ago.

She came to see where we are parked now back in May. And because she lives about 3 hours away and had to drive through Seattle traffic…our hosts/and friends had offered for her to stay the night. She did that a few weeks ago and decided to come again A few weeks ago.  She was hoping for good weather and that Mt Rainier would be out..it had been hidden for over two weeks with smoke from the fires burning in British Columbia, Canada that weather had pushed south.

So Jana came again and we had a nice visit. The first evening Mt Rainier was hiding behind clouds…so we talked her into staying another night. So Saturday she and I took off to go to Olympia to the Farmers Market. That was fun but the highlight of the morning was finding the …Tumwater park along the … river. It was a beautiful walk along the edge of the river and seeing the tall evergreens and the falls and the history of the area.

After that… we looked up and there was a clear view of Mt Rainier so we decided to get Kent and drive to the top. Jana had to drive so we could all fit in one car..as our Smart car is only for two passengers.

It was awesome.. we had good views and enjoyed the ride up the mountain. We stoped for dinner and then continued on. I have a lot of pictures, you will have to check out the video to appreciate all we saw! Thanks Jana for driving, so we three could enjoy this together!
