After the trip to Yosemite we took off and headed towards Arizona. We arrived on November 15th. Our daughter Kara and Ivan were already in Phoenix staying at her sister-in-law’s house. So a few days after arriving, they came to visit us! It was a pleasure to see Ivan on his 3rd Birthday! We all ate at a Mediterranean restaurant… which Ivan loves too!
We had a blast having them with us and as Ivan remembered the pool and it was an extra hot November, we did enjoy the pool almost every day. Kara had borrowed a bike and all our neighbors were fond of watching Ivan go scooting around on his bike! Sometimes us adults had a hard time keeping up! Because of the Thanksgiving holiday there were a few other children in our park and Ivan soon had some friends that came on their bikes..
On Thanksgiving, Kara’s sister-in-law and husband invited us to join with the family at their house. Nick’s dad was also in town. I made three kinds of pies and potatoes and we enjoyed a delicious dinner together. It was fun afterwards to bounce a bit with the kids on the trampoline in their backyard.
Friday, Nicks dad and neices ,two little girls came for lunch and to swim. On Saturday we hosted everyone with swimming and lunch. So it was a busy but fun time.
Nick left on Sunday to go back to work and Kara and Ivan stayed on and we enjoyed the pool somemore. We also went to Ikea one morning, and the wonderful Railroad Park in Scottsdale. Ivan loved the model railroads the most! We also went to see our pastor’s “ Walk to Bethlehem” and their streets lights. Ivan really enjoyed that too. And Kent and I just enjoyed being with them doing whatever.
I enclose a few pictures…
