This past week Kent and I flew to Denver. Then spent a few days with Kara and family.
We then boarded a bus with many of our WorldVenture missionaries for a ride into the Rocky Mountains. It was a blast mingling and getting to know some of our young and also retired missionaries. There was one couple that had served in a remote part of the world, now retired. We’d only ever heard of them but had not had the opportunity to meet them. It was a pleasure!
We all had gathered for the 75th anniversary of our mission. The program consisted of lots of stories showing the history of our mission, much of which we didn’t know and how many of our people had to overcome obstacles and where they ended up. At one point, we were asked to stand if you had served on two different and diverse fields… there were many of us!
It was a fun time gathering around the tables for conversation and hearing and sharing of how God has lead us in ministry. It was exciting to hear about new ways of doing ministry! Also hearing of the many who have come to Christ and many churches and schools established. God is still building His church!
Beautiful venue, blessed conference and wonderful fellowship! Happy 75 years old WorldVenture!
