Driving to Lexington, Kentucky

We left East Tennessee after several days and we were driving to Lexington, Kentucky. We were here for a few days visit with Kent’s brother Ron his wife, Jan and the family. We have visited them many times over the years and always have a great visit.

This time we were bringing our RV house and Ron had found a small campground close to their house. That was great as we had stayed over a 30 minute drive away at the Lexington Horse Park one time, 9 years ago. While the Horse Park is a beautiful place to stay, it is a long way from where they live.

This small @ 19 sites campground actually is only rented out certain times of the year. We happened to be coming when it was available! Yeah! So Ron made arrangements and we arrived.

When we looked over the sites…they were all on grass and it had rained. So the ground was very soft! We were a bit reluctant to get on it, but Kent planned that he could back in. He tried to and was having some trouble and tried two times… the second time he got stuck! The truck started to slide down the side of the road!

Sooo, Kent called his brother, Ron and asked for his help. He brought some board, shovels and his truck! So they were doing things and another Rver came by and offered to help pull us out too. So both of them hooked up to our truck which was still hooked to our RV house. Here is the video of them helping us:

I do not know why this video is upside down here,BUT if you hit play it is right side up… please play it for your enjoyment! I have tried to fix it but can’t😚!

Thankfully we got out as you can see from the video! And eventually Ron and Kent got us parked! We were so grateful for the help! So we are here for a visit! And glad to be parked for now!

Gratefully,

Jan for the Roaming Reimers
