Visiting in Kansas City, Missouri

For those of you who are new friends or followers, our family lived for 9 years in Kansas City, Missouri. Kent worked here for 8 years, but we had ministered with them for 26 years before we felt God moved us on to WorldVenture.

So to say we have a lot of contacts and connections and friends and even an “adopted” son and his family here, is to say we loved living here!

We arrived here and immediately found some old friends to chat with. We have not been here for 5 years so there is a lot to catch up on. Even with all the means of phoning and knowing and seeing pictures of friends and their families… it is not the same as having a face to face conversation. And that is what we did! We had a lot of them while we were here in KCMO.

We did see our adopted “son”, Pat and wife Loree and their youngest son Ethan first off. We had lunch at Chick-fila, which allowed Ethan aged 7 to use the play area, while the adults had conversation! It was so good to see them and talk to them again! We do hope to see their older two children who were in school at the time of our lunch together.

We also had the opportunity to have coffee break with former colleagues at Avant headquarters. Some of those who had impacted our lives for ministry and some that we had impacted all were there. It was a wonderful time of seeing old friends and catching up a little on their lives as well. It was a blessing!
