Visiting another of Kent’s cousins

Cousin Connie and husband Steve have supported us for years as well. They are in the process of moving to New Mexico. So we stopped in to see them there. The first night we went to a nice East Indian restaurant and I really enjoyed that food! Again the conversation flowed and we didn’t lack for any silences! We haven’t seen them for about 4 years so we had a lot to catch up on.

Steve had to fly on Saturday so after we hosted a breakfast at our house, we all rode with Connie to take him to the airport. Then we stopped by to see the Petroglyphs Park. That was awesome and it gave us some exercise while we visited! We stayed another night and visited with Connie again all day. It was so nice to catch up a little on their lives too! Again grateful for supporters and also those who are family!

The second day we were hanging out with Connie we went to downtown Santa Fe again. We had a coffee and walked around and went to see if the beautiful Catholic Church was open so we could see the inside. Unfortunately we got there too late to see the inside, but we walked around to see the prayer garden around back. There was a couple there that asked us to take their picture, which we were glad to do..and afterwards we got talking. Wow, their adult son had just died of cancer and they were grieving but also celebrating his life. They showed us picture of him and his beautiful amazing art work. We also could celebrate with them and also grieve for their loss. We prayed with them and felt God was in our presence with all of us! You never know when you will meet someone who needs encouragement and God dropped us in this couple’s life at that moment. We came away blessed by them too! Awesome!

Gratefully,

Jan for the Roaming Reimers
