Kent’s dad is in heaven

If you follow this blog you will know that Kent and his brothers all went to see their dad and mom and sister a little over two weeks ago. I am so glad that he went.

Dad was in a rehab facility when Kent went to see him. On Tuesday, April 2nd, he was moved to a memory care facility. He seemed to be doing ok.

As you can see from this picture of him, he looks a bit sad but not so sick. But 3 days later he was placed on hospice care and 2 days later he passed into eternity. As you can tell, this was a very quick journey into heaven! We are still reeling from the quickness of it!

His memorial service is scheduled for May 3rd and the family will be coming. We are driving our RV house to Washington for this and for the summer.

I am mostly sad that I didn’t get to see him or say goodbye to him. He wasn’t very good on the phone towards the end and I had hopes that in a few more weeks I would see him. Sad😢!

Dad Reimer was 97 years young.. yes I mean that he was a very active man until this last year. He grew a huge garden every year and gave lots of it to people at church and people at the local food bank. He had a great sense of humor and had this twinkle in his eyes when he thought something was funny or good!

I was able to work alongside and with dad these last 12 years as we were living in our RV house and for at least a month would park on their small farm and help out! I am missing this man that I adopted when my own father died almost 30 years ago. So in remembrance I put together a collage of older pictures and video of pictures of him. Enjoy!

Love you, Dad Reimer

We were talking a while back about how well your parents were doing. It’s a wonderful blessing your dad was so active in his later years. We all can only hope for that blessing for ourselves. God Bless You all, we know how your hearts hurt! Praise God we have his peace that’s surpasses all understanding and hope the world doesn’t enjoy! We Love You All!!!
