Something positive in these days!

3 years ago I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer! This doesn’t sound too positive, but keep reading please! To say it was a shock, is an understatement! I have had 4 of my siblings die of cancer within 2 years of their diagnoses! So that was a great shock and quite hard to hear!

On April 6; 2017, I had my surgery and started on my recovery! And the first blessing was that the cancer had not spread to other organs. And it was not deep in the lining of the uterus so, I DID NOT NEED any other treatment! Yeah!!! Our daughter and her son, Ivan age 3 came to help for a week after my surgery and it was such a Blessing to have them. It was a special help to have Ivan as he distracted us from the seriousness of the cancer.

I had to see my dr every three months for blood work etc for the first 2 years. As some of you, who know my husband and I live in a recreational vehicle full time and have no other house nor storage anywhere…So after my 6 week check up, we were free to travel and we went to the Northwest as we have done for the last 13 years.

I was able to get a referral for a dr in Seattle from my cancer dr in Phoenix. I loved this new dr too and she treated me soooo well too! My appointments have gone well and eventually I was able to go to every six months and then ever year as I do now. If the blood work numbers go up, beyond a certain point I have to have another blood test, which happened last fall! But thankfully it was ok and things are continuing to progress well!

So the positive news! I am ALIVE! My siblings that had cancer are not. Yes, their cancers were different than mine but… the fear was still there! I AM SO GRATEFUL TO BE ALIVE AND HEALTHY!

Oh, yes I did have the flu recently. And it might have been Covid19. There were not enough tests available when I was sick so it was not diagnosed. I was very sick! But compared to dying of cancer…what is the flu? Or even Covid19?

I do pray that you ARE healthy and that you are finding blessings during this coronavirus time!

Stay healthy and share your positive thoughts and prayers with others!

We are definitely rejoicing with you that there is no cancer to deal with and that you are feeling much better from the flu or the virus. God is good and you are blessed by him❤️🥰
