At the farm

August 14, 2020

We all continued to work around the farm and seeing mom at least once a week. But the day came when Kent ‘s brother and wife had to leave. We hated to see them go but knew they had to get back to their live at home.

These pictures above are from some last visits with mom and family. Fun memories!

See the old picture of mom we found. It was enhanced by a friend of mine!

Cousins and other visits

August 13, 2020

We also have had some great visits with Kent’s brother nd wife, his sister and husband and mom. We have also seen three of their first cousins!

We visited and looked at pictures and just talked a bunch. And really enjoyed them all day long! They went to visit Kent’s mom for a few hours, which she really enjoyed too.

We had such a fun day. These cousins live about two hours away from the farm. We did look at lots of old pictures as I have included one here. I missed the one cousin’s wife that I know well and missed seeing her too!

Taking a short trip

August 11, 2020

We did decide to get away from the farm a bit back in July..We have a friend that lives in Sequim, Washington. That is one of the places that grows aromatic lavender and also for oils. Since the big festival could not be held this summer..but the lavender still was growing and looking pretty. Donna was a recent widow and we had not seen her since her hubby had passed. So we decided to go and see her.

We needed to have some time to relax too. Donna was great to visit and we were so glad to see how she is doing. Lots of her family are surrounding her and so we felt she was in a good place. It was so good to see her again!

We went on a short ferry ride on a beautiful day. We also got to walk in a forest and beach too. Fun, fun!

Next we drove to see our good friends Bruce & Melody. We got to be with them for two days and nights. They have been friends since we met on a trip 5 years ago. They have a ministry to missionaries and pastirs by providing a home to get away in and relax for a few days. Their ministry is called Dorlinda. We were able to use their guesthouse while with them! We also enjoyed hanging out abd seeing the new things they have done on their beautiful property! It was great to see them again too!!

A few days away in July and we came back feeling much better!

This blog was meant to be published here in July.. but user error caused it not to be. Soo these pictures were taken in July not recently. The fires all over the Northwest have caused the air to not be this clear now in September! More later!

Working on mom’s farm

August 9, 2020

We have been doing several other things around the farm. We did painting and cleaning up some shrubbery. The men did several electrical projects to make the house safer too.

One of the pictures shows us visiting our dear friend, Ed Karber for his 94th birthday! With Covid we had to stay outside but we were able to take him a peanut butter blizzard.

So you can see we have not been relaxing too much this summer.
